Biography
Dr. Jennifer Serres is the Research Director for Robotics, Autonomy, and Artificial Intelligence for the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s International Technology Center- Pacific. Based in Canberra, Australia, she is responsible for seeking out cutting edge research and facilitating partnerships in key technical areas relevant to the U.S. Army’s Science & Technology (S&T) enterprise.
Prior to this assignment, Dr. Serres worked for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH from 2012 to 2019. Before entering the DoD civilian sector, Dr. Serres served as a Senior Staff Survivability Engineer for BAE Systems in Cincinnati, OH.
Dr. Serres holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Wright State University (WSU) focused in Industrial and Human Systems. She also holds a Biomedical Engineering B.S. and M.S. focused in Biomechanics. She is a graduate of Air University’s Air War College program and is a licensed Professional Engineer (mechanical) in the State of Ohio.
