Abstract
Learn more about how Orbital Insight is conducting geospatial analytics for the United States government and allied countries. In this presentation, we will share more about our work for U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and the U.S. Pacific Fleet monitoring activity in the South China Sea. Using the combination of AI and commercially available satellite imagery, we have automated the detection of ships, and aircraft (as well as able to distinguish the types of aircraft). For INDOPACOM, we are providing monitoring and alerting for changes in disposition of forces, as well as the presence of potential People's Armed Forces Maritime Militia fleets by conflating AI-derived ship detections with commercial AIS data.
