As the military moves into a more digitally enabled world so the volume of situational awareness data increases exponentially. Increased levels of data from a network of sensors like high definition videos taken by drones, through to voice channels and satellite imagery. There is also an increased level of data from traditional platforms like armoured vehicles, missiles, planes and ships. The Digital Node Network is a reenvisaging of the traditional approach to networks to specifically address the C4ISR support challenge in a degraded, denied and intermittent environment.  By providing a physically separate, but logically connected set of nodes, with zero dependency on any specific bearer, the entire spectrum of C4ISR support capabilities can reenvisaged. This delivers a cyber-safe capability with zero trust required, for all C4ISR support functions and delivers technology as a fully integrated, mission-aligned capability. In this tutorial, we outline the concepts and architecture as well as demonstrating the technologies that will enable this contemporary platform.
