Biography
Mr Justin Keefe transferred to the Department of Defence as Assistant Secretary Application Sustainment in July 2016.
Justin first joined the Australian Public Service
(APS) in 2013 as Assistant Secretary Shared Service Centre at the Attorney-General’s Department (AGD). In this role Justin developed and implemented a comprehensive corporate services reform, including the introduction of a shared corporate and ICT services capability and the modernisation of the department’s enterprise systems.
In 2014 Justin was the senior officer in charge of the 2014/15 smaller government budget measure to implement shared services for the Canberra based national collecting institutions. Under Justin’s leadership this program was delivered on time and in accordance with the government directive.
In 2016 he received an Australia Day Achievement Award for his work on the budget measure.
Following the successful implementation of the Shared Service Centre, Justin moved to head the Security and Integrity Reform Branch within the National Security and Emergency Management Group of AGD. In this role Justin led the multiagency Personnel Security Reform Taskforce and had policy responsibility for the Protective Security Policy Framework and Commonwealth Fraud Control Framework.
Prior to joining the APS Justin spent 17 years working in the ICT consulting industry, specialising in business intelligence and information management.
