Abstract

Plan CADUCEUS is the face of Royal Australian Corps of Signals (RA Sigs) workforce remediation and modernisation effort – the effort required to ensure Army’s CISEW and Cyber capability is Ready Now and Future Ready.

Army is investing in RA Sigs reform to address the information age ‘people challenge’ in a setting characterised by rapidly changing technology, dynamic and diverse threats operating in the information domain, and a pressured labour market where the fight for STEM talent is fierce. Hear Colonel Ed Wunsch, Army’s sponsor for RA Sigs people capability reflect on the challenges and lessons learnt in the first year of Plan CADUCEUS: recruiting and retention, training modernisation, workforce and organisation reform.
