ABSTRACT
From hardware through to services to strengthened capability: how can the warfighter gain an advantage using cloud technologies at the tactical edge?
This session will go through different layers of cloud technologies, such as Microsoft's Azure Stack suite of hardware and services. We will discuss what's being used and considered for the Australian environment, as well as insights from NATO, wider Europe and the US.
Participants will get hands on in a live demonstration where we'll play out different scenarios using cloud technologies at a simulated tactical edge, right back through to headquarters.
BIOGRAPHY
Emma has been working in the Defence industry as a systems engineer for over 10 years and has had hands on experience implementing deployed technologies in the MER and at sea.
Emma leads the Enablement team at Myriad Technologies and is currently working closely with Microsoft on their emerging Azure Stack Edge technologies.
She is a passionate supporter for Women in STEM, and is a keen football player.
