ABSTRACT
DevSecOps is a combination of mindset, work practices and tools to bring software development and IT operations together, with security as a fundamental “shift left” approach. DevSecOps can be transformational in supporting mission outcomes by bringing together development and mission stakeholders through collaboration at all phases, to deliver mission outcomes with speed, scale and security. Join this session to learn more about what DevSecOps is, Leidos’ global capabilities, which have been tailored to the Australian context through the use of our Software Factory, and some recent examples of DevSecOps in action on Defence projects.
BIOGRAPHY
Greg is a Software Developer at heart, with a passion for simple design and in recent years has developed an enthusiasm for Agile Practices, DevSecOps and the culture surrounding these disciplines. He has over 25 years of experience starting on Jindalee Over the Horizon Radar (JORN) before moving into enterprise software engineering within the broader Defence, where he undertook a number of roles delivering complex software systems, including recently as the Software Architect on a large scale distributed command and control system. Greg currently has a lead technical role in the Leidos AU Software Factory. In his spare time Greg is also the Technical Core Capabilities Lead for the Leidos DevSecOps community of practice.
