ABSTRACT
Satcom Direct currently supports the Australian Defence Force through the provision of voice and data satellite communications services on the Iridium network and provides bespoke software and hardware solutions to military aircraft. Satcom Direct will be delivering a presentation which will highlight how resilient satellite networks can be employed as a contingency within a robust communications plan. The presentation will discuss how reliable passage of information can be assured over satellite constellations with extensive redundancy implemented across each level of critical infrastructure.
Satcom Direct has a 25-year heritage in providing connectivity to support priority communications requirements for commercial and government customers in the difficult aviation environment. Along with COMSAT, part of the SD family, the company is well versed across all aspects of the satellite communications ecosystem and can promptly manage issues to ensure communications solutions are available when needed. Satcom Direct has an abundance of experience with several capabilities which it can leverage to assist government and military users to operate more effectively across multiple platforms.
BIOGRAPHY
Joshua has been working with Satcom Direct since February 2021 to support Military and Government customers in Australia and across the Indo-Pacific region. Though his 15 year career in the Australian Defence Force Joshua has planned and employed Military Communications capabilities across multiple environments, providing him a thorough understanding of operational connectivity requirements. Joshua now use his experience to support customers with commercial satellite communications networks, providing end-to-end solutions which encompass an array of equipment and service options to best suit mission requirements.
