ABSTRACT
Military, police, security guards, and similar tactical populations are required routinely to carry firearms with the potential to utilise them in spontaneous use-of-force actions. These use-of-force actions can result in fatal consequences, but are rarely executed, and only in response to an individual’s perception of an imminent threat.
Virtual Reality as a technology has never successfully worked in operator training or mission planning. Systems are overly complex, not portable, with no integration into the soldiers own kit. This leads to poor training outcomes. Operator Tactical Solutions was created to address these challenges and realise the benefits of immersive technology combined with real world operational experience.

OP-1 Virtual Reality Tactical Trainer (VRTT)
The VRTT allows soldiers to train Close Quarter Battle (CQB) tactics and techniques in any location – such as in transit on board ships, forward operating bases, or any other areas otherwise without appropriate facilities. VRTT uses free roam tracking technologies developed in-house by Operator, which can be used securely, anywhere in the world. Using proprietary technology developed by Operator, the VRTT integrates with soldiers’ real weapons and equipment. The VRTT is completely mobile and allows setup in minutes in any location.
OP-1 Mission Rehearsal System (MRS)
The MRS system focuses on Operational Planning and Mission Rehearsal. The MRS uses in house tools and third party data to simulate real world targets and environments, Positive Identification and Specific threat integration, and Command, Control & Communications (C3) planning and rehearsals. The vision is to allow rapid development of targets with live inputs to cater for time sensitive and detailed planning and rehearsals for operational environments.
The session will involve both a presentation and live product demonstration, followed by end of conference drinks.

BIOGRAPHY
Wayne is founding CEO of ASX Listed xReality Group Limited (XRG) and subsidiary Operator Tactical Solutions. Wayne has developed and managed multiple business ventures and projects within Australia, S/E Asia and China.
Prior to establishing XRG and Operator, Wayne was a Commander with the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) and responsible for the development and performance of teams in complex and challenging environments. His goal focused approach and strategic vision resulted in Wayne being highly decorated throughout his military career.
Wayne holds formal qualifications in Project Management, Business, Security and Risk Management and Financial Management and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has over 25 years’ experience in leading teams and delivering results.
Wayne maintains his involvement with the Australian Defence Force, and is also the President of the Australian Special Air Service Association (NSW Branch).
