ABSTRACT
Early, quick and focused assessment of data against given conditions is a critical skill required on the field and in the laboratory. During this session, I will demonstrate how to deploy manual and automated digital forensics triaging techniques that are designed to deliver focused, precise and actionable results in less than 15 minutes. Using case studies the audience will be introduced to a several workflows including how to rapidly scan, extract, and analyse critical intelligence from iOS/Android smartphones, tablets, computers, cameras, drones and other digital devices. I will also discuss the different tactical requirements between triaging for intelligence and triaging for legal, how not to leave a trace and how to preserve the integrity of the data to be used as evidence in Court.
