ABSTRACT
The volume of data required for a warfighter to make an informed decision is exponentially growing. They are required to make instant decisions from information coming from a multitude of data streams. From geospatial intelligence, intercepted communication, to social media and word of mouth, the amount of data required to build the best decision possible requires technology to be able to react to this data in real-time. The success of the war fighter is dependent on the harmonious relationship between all five dimensions of war and their adoption of a successful data handling platform. To gain insight from this data, those responsible for the Fifth Dimension of Warfare must rely on technology that breaks the mould for speed, scale, and economics. The technology used to exploit this information must rely on groundbreaking technologies in accelerated computing, distributed metadata, and capabilities that make consuming and processing this data easy. Hitachi IQ is designed to accelerate the collection and processing of data, while reducing the burden to create and implement AI models. It enables the user to make informed decisions while also ensuring that single-event data is maintained in perpetuity.
