ABSTRACT
Cyber test & evaluation, certification and systems assurance are critical for identifying vulnerabilities in defence networks and mission systems. Whilst these activities have become essential, the roles, responsibilities and processes are often misunderstood; execution and methodology, developed around qualified and informed practice, are crucial to achieving what is quickly becoming a vital part of systems acquisition and sustainment. The purpose of this talk is to provide participants with practical activities and appreciation processes for the conduct of systems test, evaluation, certification and systems process. During this talk, I will provide an overview of the problem state, shortfalls in execution and the tools and processes our team employs in support of defence industry. I will seek to introduce participants to practical activities that we regularly conduct to inform the development lifecycle and sustain operations for networks and mission systems in the war fighting domain.
