The world has witnessed remarkable advancements in wireless communication technologies, with each generation improving upon its predecessor. 4G and 5G are two such transformative wireless technologies that have redefined the way we connect, communicate, and access information. With its blazing speed, ultra-low latency, higher capacity, spectrum efficiency, and energy-saving capabilities, 5G has the potential to revolutionise military operations by significantly improving communications, ISR capabilities, autonomous systems and the military internet of things (IoT).
As a recognised 5G technology leader, Rohde & Schwarz will conduct a non-commercial 50-minute presentation discussing 5G wireless technology. The brief will highlight the differences between 4G and 5G wireless technologies, which have revolutionised the way we communicate and connect in the digital age, and will delve into the potential of 5G technology in enhancing forward operating bases (FOBs), which serve as vital command and control centres for military operations.
