In today's ever-evolving landscape of warfare, data has emerged as a strategic asset, empowering decision-making, enhancing situational awareness, and optimizing mission outcomes for our warfighters. Critical to the successful delivery of timely information to front line troops will be the state of the networks over which this data is carried and how your systems and applications can cope with these potentially adverse conditions.
In this session, I will detail the ways in which various network characteristics and conditions impact the transmission of vital data and what measures can be taken to ensure mission-critical applications and systems can be designed, tested and modified to best cope with poor network conditions and ultimately meet the objective of delivering timely data when and where it is needed. This will include an exploration of different technologies and approaches such as the use of cyber ranges and simulation and training environments.
