In recent years, there has been a notable reemergence of wide-band high-frequency (WBHF) military communications, marking a significant shift in the way armed forces must communicate within the contemporary battlespace. This resurgence can be attributed to several factors, including advancements in technology, evolving operational requirements and sophisticated electronic threats, and the need for more resilient and secure communication networks. All these factors must be considered to ensure the Australian Defence Force has the right command, control and communication (C3) systems to successfully undertake tactical, operational and strategic missions.
As a globally recognized HF technology leader, Rohde & Schwarz will conduct a non-commercial 50-minute presentation discussing WBHF communications. The brief will focus on the advancement of WBHF communications as armed forces strive to maintain an advantage within the modern battlespace. The presentation will highlight the importance of ultra-WBHF communications to overcome challenges posed by diverse operational environments and hostile electronic threats.

Senthil is a dedicated telecommunications professional with more than 25 years’ experience in the field of telecommunications specializing in test and measurement. Senthil has experience working for service provider and a host of vendors in various different roles with the last 5 years working closely and supporting the 5G community in Australia.
