The ADF will proliferate many types of uncrewed systems (UxS) across the Integrated Force. Current acquisitions are project-centric, acquiring bespoke UxS C2 systems that will inhibit our ability to deploy, integrate and coordinate heterogeneous UxS at scale. The specified solution is a Common C2 of UxS C4ISR Design Guidance which specifies a service oriented architecture for a UxS C2 system and common external interfaces out to UxS.
This tutorial is designed to work through the UxS Common C2 Systems C4ISR Design Guidance to show industry how to apply the Design Guidance to different types of UxS capability acquisitions. The tutorial learning objectives include:
- Understand the UxS operational use cases
- Understand the UxS logical architectures
- Understand the standard mappings for each UxS operational use case
- Understand the force integration and capability tradeoffs for each use case and standard mapping selection
