11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Royal Theatre

One of the many responsibilities of military leaders is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and innovate in response to emerging technologies and evolving threats. By embracing and accelerating digital transformation and tapping into the potential of emerging technologies like generative AI (GenAI), military leaders can change perceptions and increase the mission impact of the servicemembers working with them and the citizens they are sworn to serve.
Unable to capitalize on technological advances and identify areas most relevant to their mission success, the public sector and the armed forces have largely been left behind. Digital transformation is vital, and all about culture change. Bureaucracies can excel at enduring change once they understand it and get behind it. As CIO of the U.S. Army, Dr. Iyer helped build enduring and long-term results by championing change and influencing where it mattered most. Listeners will leave with a broader understanding of how large-scale digital transformation can be achieved to further global security.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  • Hear why the public sector must embrace technical modernization.
  • Understand the steps required to change minds and influence technical advancements, despite perceived bureaucracies.
  • Learn the technological challenges and opportunities to ensure broad adoption
