An insider threat is an individual with authorized access to an organization’s systems, data, or assets, and who intentionally (or unintentionally) misuses that access in ways that harm (or risk) these assets. This talk will highlight the concepts that allow organizations to effectively and proactively monitor and protect their users and data. Shibu will also cover actual Insider Threat/Risk success stories from real-world wins, some of which have been covered in the media.

Steven is a Principal Sales Engineer and Solutions Architect working with and supporting the Five Eyes Community, International Governments, and Critical Infrastructure for the past 10 years. As a Solutions Architect, Steven works with the entire Forcepoint portfolio including Insider Risk technologies, Behavior Analytics, Cross Domain Solutions and advanced threat technologies (RBI, CDR, etc.), and how these capabilities can be used individually or together to provide advanced zero trust protections. Steven is Carnegie Mellon Insider Threat Program Manager certified and has worked to educate customers and their organizations on insider risk programs and technologies for the last 7 years. In this role, Steven has helped implement insider risk user activity monitoring and user behavior analytics tools and has educated the various stakeholders in an organization on the best practices of leveraging these tools successfully.
