As the Space and Satellite Lead at Vocus, Ashley Neale works with Australian and international businesses to support them to build critical telco infrastructure in the APAC region that enables access to new space and satellite technology. During his career Ashley has worked with the satellite industry and gained an understanding of the operational requirements and dependence on satellite communications.

During a career spanning thirty years in the Australian Army – Royal Australian Corps of Signals, Matthew Illic, specialised in fixed installation (deployed) and backhaul for forward operating bases whilst deployed in the Solomon Islands, East Timor and the Middle East. Currently, he holds the position of Development Manager – Government and Strategic Projects at Vocus. In this position, he works with the Australian Defence Force to find ways to incorporate leading edge communications technology to provide a combat multiplier to command and control from the Tactical through to the strategic levels of operations. His educational accomplishments include a Doctorate of Philosophy (Organisational Psychology), Master of Science (IT), Master of Psychology (Clinical) and Master of Military Studies.
