The modernisation of any Defence/Intelligence Agency involves a sustainable effort across a complex set of competing constraints - technology, culture, and economics. The decision to both modernise and effectively realise the benefits of new technologies has always been an art form. ChatGPT did not change this.
Artificial Intelligence has, once again, become a technology of promise that may or may not deliver. Next generation Natural Language Processing improvements such as ChatGPT are tangible, but the more we understand the improved capabilities of machine intelligence - mostly focusing on vision, speech and neuronal communication principles, the more we appreciate that Natural Intelligence remains indispensable, especially in highly dynamic, mission critical environments.
Whether training in the comfort and safety of a datacenter, or training with no data, bad data, or data that went stale 800ms ago, proficiency to provide the necessary fidelity for either AI or NI is crucial to any intelligent mission. Confluent together is the Central Nervous System for Enterprises, Machines and Humans.
This session will provide a conceptual overview of how this technology has operated at the trillions/day scale today, and how it can be applied to emerging machine intelligence workflows. Confluent’s distribution of Apache Kafka® helps Defence/Intelligence Agencies turn real/near time data into knowledge, knowledge into intelligence and intelligence into outcomes that can only be achieved by harmonious integration of every scrap of data one can get their hands on.
