The evolution of cyber security from a "castle and moat" mentality to zero trust security leveraged with a modern defence in depth is necessary to protect against today's complex and evolving threat landscape.
Historically a castle was a single location with a small number of entrances and relatively few known individuals. Now consider modern organisations who are securing a series of campuses in different geographies with a wide range of trusted and untrusted people requiring access.
In a similar way information systems are becoming more distributed, interconnected and require communication across multiple trust domains, leading to ever increasing attack surfaces. Palo Alto Networks believes that modern defence in depth requires multiple layers of complimentary security measures to defend, identify, contain and respond to cyber attacks.
Palo Alto Networks has the industry's most comprehensive cybersecurity portfolio including network security, remote access, SD-WAN, cloud security, endpoint protection, SOC automation, threat intelligence and DevSecOps security tooling. Our platforms integrate with a range of other security technologies to provide a complete and unified security solution for organisations.
This session is intended to provide an overview of next generation defence in depth that can reduce the likelihood and impact of cyber breaches, referencing patterns used within the Australian and US Departments of Defence.
