Details

The advent of generative AI and large language models has paved the way for autonomous agentic capabilities, enabling task delegation to machines without human oversight. Introducing AI agents into battlefield environments stands to revolutionize command and control (C2) operations for Defense and Intelligence organizations. As electronic warfare necessitates a rise in distributed C2 nodes, teams must swiftly make decisions based on exponentially growing data, often without upstream operational support. AI agents can enhance human-machine collaboration by analyzing complex sensor, spectrum, and surveillance feeds, delivering real-time, context-aware insights from diverse sources based on natural input commands. Built on advanced language models, these AI capabilities integrate seamlessly into current warfighter systems, whether via voice on PTT radios or chat in BMS, significantly enhancing mission effectiveness and reducing cognitive load. This session will explore the deployment considerations for this transformative technology on the battlefield, equipping attendees with the knowledge to effectively apply AI agents in future mission scenarios.
