Details
The ability to communicate effectively has always been critical for defence, with traditional telecommunications aiming to ensure that messages got through. But in today’s world where multi-nation alliances strive together in complex strategic and tactical environments, effective Collaboration is required to get to the best decision, fast. On top of this, recent cyberattacks and IT leaks have demonstrated that the transatlantic alliance, amongst others, has become a high-value target for hybrid warfare in cyberspace.
In this presentation, we focus on why traditional technologies and ways of working are no longer good enough for the real time collaboration which underpins the success of our alliances.
Firstly, how do we digitally deliver the human side of communications, allowing commanders and teams to use video to impose their personality and enhance speech with non-verbal language.
Secondly, how do we ensure a consistent, reliable experience from HQ to the deployed edge, including defence industrial partners, and make it accessible across networks, domains and classifications.
Thirdly, because Users’ focus shouldn’t be on security, we will introduce Data Centric Interoperability via attribute-based access control as a unique way to technically harden classified conferences and combat data exfiltration in mission-critical video and audio communication.
