Janes recognises the emergence of key security partnerships like AUKUS, the watershed Defence Strategic Review, the 2024 National Defence Strategy and Integrated Investment Program, and Australia’s pivot towards higher-end capabilities that are data-thirsty. Drawing on his recent experience in leading Janes go-to-market organisation, Leendert will speak on his observations of global developments, particularly in the US, the UK, and NATO, and their relevance to the Indo-Pacific theatre. He will specifically focus on how Janes clients pursue decision advantage, how Janes is accelerating its pivot into data analytics and artificial intelligence, and will showcase how Janes assured data is integrating into systems, platforms, and workflows.
The briefing will explore how 125 years of Janes content is now interconnected, updated daily, and delivered via API, allowing simple systematic navigation and comprehensive understanding of global military capability, the developments which inform it, and the events which affect it. It will also examine how Janes data payload solutions and data model allow end-users to gain faster, more contextualised answers to their questions. Designed to be consumed by low- and high-side environments, the API-enabled graph database can be used to enrich, interconnect, and integrate multiple sources in a diverse number of partner platforms and systems. Leendert will describe Janes contemporary value proposition and use cases through the lens of threats described in the Defence Strategic Review, together with a live demonstration.
