Menzies Theatre

Details

Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) characterisation is crucial for the successful prosecution of missions within the modern battlespace. As military operations increasingly depend on advanced technologies that rely on the EMS, understanding and managing the spectrum becomes vital for achieving tactical, operational and strategic objectives. Effective EMS characterisation allows for the identification, exploitation and protection of critical communication, radar and electronic warfare systems ensuring they function optimally in complex and contested environments. By accurately characterising the EMS, military forces can anticipate and mitigate adversary actions, maintain operational superiority and enhance mission success in an increasingly dynamic and electronic warfare-driven battlespace. As a recognised leader in EMS solutions, Rohde & Schwarz will conduct a non-commercial 50-minute presentation discussing the importance of EMS characterisation. The brief will include EMS fundamentals, signal detection and analysis, threat identification, spectrum management and the impact of EMS on mission success.
