Defence faces urgent demands to modernise its ICT landscape in the face of evolving threats, legacy system constraints, and mission-critical requirements. This product briefing introduces Precision Guided ModernisationTM (PGM)— DXC Technology’s enterprise-level ICT transformation approach, driving change in the largest, most complex, and challenging mission-critical environments. Acknowledging recent momentum, there is still considerable opportunity to address legacy-heavy application portfolios, fragmented transformation trajectories, and cultural resistance to change. These factors often slow or sideline efforts to modernise effectively, which can impede Defence’s ability to unlock the full benefits of modern cloud architectures, such as automation, scalability, and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO). During this session we invite Defence change agents to explore mission-driven digital advantage, through an orchestrated, precision-guided approach—one that incorporates well architected framework for modernisation, and applies security, and interoperability by design. This product briefing seeks to demystify the complexity surrounding large-scale ICT transformation and presents a fit-for-purpose, proven framework that enables Defence to modernise with speed, agility, and confidence. Join this session to learn about the scalable and disciplined approach designed to accelerate capability delivery while effectively managing technical debt and minimising transformation risk. At the core of DXC’s tried and tested Precision Guided Modernisation approach are five key pillars: Advisory & Insight, Discovery & Analysis, Application Assessment, Platform Modernisation and Acceleration & Execution. We invite you to discover how these pillars rapidly identify transformation pathways aligned to Defence priorities and enable 360-degree visibility across large portfolios by integrating technical, risk, compliance, and financial considerations. Together, these pillars can ensure a disciplined, balanced, scalable, and outcome-focused transformation journey for Defence.
