AIRCDRE Pettigrew joined the RAAF in 1988, serving for 12 years as an F/A-18 Hornet operational fighter pilot and instructor. In 2020, he returned to the ADF following 20 years in private industry, having been the founder and CEO of a successful next-generation integrated services company. In 2021 as lead technical author of the Australian Defence – Cyber Concept, he contributed to Defence considering cyber for its purposes, the required functions, and a construct to command and control them with agility: enabling the ADF’s doctrinal declaration of the Cyber Domain. During 2022-23 as CDF’s ADF Liaison Officer to USCYBERCOM at Fort Meade, he enabled key leader engagements and strategic multinational fora. He authored new US Joint Warfighting all-domain command and control
