Alistair Leuchars from ADS Group will discuss the UK's Cyber Security sector, the objectives of the current UK Cyber Trade Mission to Australia – the second in two years, and the significance of UK-Australian collaboration in cyber and emerging technology fields. This discussion will be followed by lightening presentations from the UK companies participating in the trade mission to Australia, outlining their primary goals within the country. Short presentations will be provided by representatives of Airbus, Becrypt, CGI, Chevin Technology, Cyber1st, L3Harris, PentenAmio, QinetiQ, TwinStream, Ultra Cyber Limited, and Viasat UK.

Biography
Alistair Leuchars is the Deputy Director – Cyber & Digital at ADS Group. ADS Group is the UK trade association for the Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space sectors, representing over 1,700 companies from across these industry sectors.
Al’s role entails close working with UK Ministry of Defence and other UK government departments, as well as ADS member companies across the four ADS sectors. This role covers technology areas existing and emerging, including cyber, Artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, Internet of Things/ connected places, and how they impact and exist within the areas of Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space.
Al joined ADS just over 3 years ago and prior to this worked for the New Zealand Defence Force for over 8 years. During his time with the New Zealand Defence Force he was based in the New Zealand High Commission in London. Al has a master’s degree in Cyber and AI warfare from Kings College London, as well as an international business and commercial law bachelor’s degree from the University of Auckland in his native New Zealand.
