Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization is now available across Defence, providing the ability for project teams to adopt a next-generation virtualisation platform. OpenShift Virtualization provides a modern platform for organisations to run and deploy their new and existing virtual machine (VM) workloads. It also allows teams to manage containers and virtual machines side-by-side, taking advantage of the simplicity and speed of a cloud-native application platform. In this hands-on tutorial, we’ll take you through how to get started creating and managing virtual machines on OpenShift Virtualization. We’ll also have labs available where attendees can migrate virtual machines from other virtualisation platforms to OpenShift. This session is best experienced with your own laptop, so you can directly access the virtual workshops and get hands-on. No laptop? No problem - we’ll also run-through demonstrations in the session.
