Viasat and Telstra have been in collaboration for more than 5 years and are bringing significant innovation to Australia and Asia Pacific. The upcoming launch of the ViaSat-3 satellite introduces access to unrivaled capacity and performance leveraging an expansive ground infrastructure that Viasat and Telstra have deployed across Australia. ViaSat-3 will provide more flexibility and faster speeds while delivering high levels of service assurance to users across all domains. ViaSat-3 and its ground infrastructure are designed for Security from the ground up, delivering resilient, secure, and end-to-end encrypted sovereign services to commercial, government, and military users. Ultra-high capacity space components and a proliferated ground gateway network allow high speed services at a very competitive price-per-bit. These services are available across the full spectrum of Ka-Band including Military Ka-Band. Biography

George currently leads Advanced Concepts & Technology for Government Services and Solutions (GSS), a business segment of Viasat Government and a wholly owned subsidiary of Viasat Inc. In this role, George is responsible for future technologies including connectivity solutions, customer experience, satellite and network roadmaps, and advanced warfighting concepts. George is responsible for managing the technical and product roadmaps for the Government Segment’s network services including: Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), Special operations forces, Communications, Command, and Control (C3) products and services, crewed and uncrewed, fixed-wing, and rotary-wing Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) products and services, Ground fixed, nomadic, and mobile Communications, Command, Control, and Computers (GC4) services, and maritime services. In addition to his role representing Viasat’s Government Segment, George is also a member of the design team of Viasat’s commercial networks and terminals. In this role, George contributes to the design of Viasat’s next-generation network services portfolio (including next-generation multi-network terminals, miniGEO, NGSO) and serves as the liaison between Viasat’s commercial and government businesses to ensure that government stakeholders’ requirements and CONOPS can be serviced by our future network services. George joined Viasat in 2009, having held similar roles at Ericsson, and Nextwave Wireless, representing over 25 years’ experience in wireless communications systems, WLAN technologies, satellite communications, and hybrid networking. George has expertise in satellite terminal development, network architecture and design, network management systems, data analytics, and complex integration of communications products and systems. George holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the American University in Beirut, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Communications Systems from Syracuse University.
