The growing integration of 5G technology in military communications is fundamentally reshaping the contemporary and future battlespace by enabling faster, more secure and highly reliable networks that meet the evolving demands of modern warfare. Traditional communication infrastructures are increasingly inadequate under the pressure of real-time intelligence sharing, high-resolution surveillance, and the vast data generated by unmanned systems and distributed forces. As the adoption of 5G becomes a foregone conclusion for military forces worldwide, critical questions arise regarding its ability to deliver the anticipated operational outcomes.
As a recognised 5G thought leader with global involvement in shaping the future vision for 5G, Rohde and Schwarz will provide a non-commercial overview of 5G and examine the practical utility, challenges, and limitations of its implementation in contested and degraded environments.

Biography
Senthil Sundram is the Head of Telecommunications in the Standard Products and Systems Team at Rohde & Schwarz Australia. Senthil is a dedicated telecommunications professional with more than 25 years’ experience in the field of telecommunications specializing in test and measurement. Senthil has experience working for service providers and a host of vendors in various different roles with the last 6 years working closely and supporting the 5G community in Australia. Now in Rohde & Schwarz, Sentil works closely with the Wireless Communications and Network Testing community.
