Innovating Through Uncertainty
The AOC, established in 1964, boasts a global membership across 47 countries with 65 chapter in 19 nations. Comprising executives, scientists, engineers, managers, operators, educators, and military personnel, the organisation is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC.
Originating from WWII’s Battle of Britain, the term “Old Crows” refers to Electronic Warfare practitioners. Evolving from the Allied Radar Countermeasure operators’ code name “Ravens,” Electronic Warfare, Information Operations, and related disciplines have been indispensable in modern military operations, leveraging digital technology for knowledge superiority, strategic dominance, and asset protection.
AOC Australia
AOC Australia is the domestic chapter of the Association of Old Crows. We provide a home for Australia's Information Warfare community, including members from government, Defence, industry and academia. We support Electronic Warfare, Cyber Warfare and Information Operations representing all operational domains and practicing across a variety of scientific and technical disciplines.
AOC's mission statement is to be Australia's premier Information Warfare organisation; to connect, strengthen, educate, and advocate for Australia's Information Warfare community; and to support uplift of Australia's Information Warfare capability in pursuit of national security outcomes.
